The PCI-Alpencup 2023

In 2023, the PCI-Alpencup was even more international and took place for the first time outside Germany in Switzerland. The venue was the vocational training center Dagmersellen in central Switzerland near Lucerne.

A total of 9 nations with 18 young craftsmen and women competed against each other in teams of two in the tiling competition. The teams had only one goal in mind: to take home the PCI-Alpencup challenge cup as the winning team.

On both competition days it was exciting and in the end a very close race. After evaluation of the task by the expert jury the team Austria had just the “nose” in front and could secure the victory at the PCI-Alpencup 2023. Second place went to the team from Germany ahead of France in third place.

The PCI-Alpencup is a format in the field of promotion of young talents, which was created in close cooperation with the tile and slab trade associations.

The aim is to support young craftsmen in the context of promoting young talent, to give them the opportunity to come together internationally, to exchange ideas and ultimately to be able to measure their performance against each other.
