Suspense right up to the last minute: in its fifth edition, the PCI-Alpencup 2026 impressively demonstrated just how much skill, passion and team spirit there is among the next generation of craftspeople.
At the Construction Guild’s Training Centre (ABZ) in Augsburg, seven nations competed against one another with their best young tilers. Working in pairs, they tackled a challenging competition task that had to be completed within twelve hours with the utmost precision and perfect teamwork.
After a competition that remained thrilling right up to the very end, France secured victory at the PCI-Alpencup 2026. Second place went to Switzerland, followed by Germany in third. The remaining places were taken by Denmark, Sweden, Austria and the Czech Republic.
One thing, however, was clear even before the prize-giving ceremony: all seven teams impressively demonstrated just how versatile, creative and talented the next generation of tilers is.
